Maureen Murphy was born and raised in England, educated in London, and has lived in America for many years. Her words and images have been published widely in books, magazines, greeting cards, calendars and video liners. With years of varied work experience - artist, writer, therapist, educator, photographer (she is a past Instructor of Landscape Photography with the Landscape Architecture Program at UCLA Extension, Los Angeles, California) - her life purpose has now coalesced into a new paradigm - illustrating and writing small press inspirational books. She is committed to producing books which inspire and promote personal and spiritual growth. Her self help, inspirational and spiritual books are devoted to supporting her readers achieve their highest potential.

Maureen's earliest inspirations for book production came from summer holidays spent visiting her maternal grandmother in County Donegal, Ireland. It was here that she fell in love with the beauty and power of nature. While walking the back lanes of Bruckless with her mother and sister she picked wildflowers, then pressed them onto the pages of books and journals. Since that time Maureen has felt a special affinity with flowers and gardens, and uses them in her work as metaphors for growth and healing. It was not until many years later, when all the groundwork for her books was laid from the strands of her varied careers that she was able to combine and tie them together into a new vision - her Inspirational Books.
